Midi rhythm patterns are very useful for a number of applications. These patterns can be used for practice, for composition and recording. they come in 'Midi Type 0' files which are a single track. These work well for 'Groove Clips'. If you have Sonar Home Studio or anything comparable, you can right click the pattern and enable groove clips and drag them out as many measures as you like. The Midi Type 1 files are multi-track, meaning that all percussion instruments such as snare, kick, toms, cymbals etc have their own track.
